The Broken Arm

Paris, France

The Broken Arm on Rue Perrée opened its doors in 2013, and offers a thoughtful selection of clothes, books, lifestyle items and more. Founded by Anaïs Lafarge, Romain Joste and Guillaume Steinmetz, the concept store can be described as the physical manifestation of their fashion and lifestyle website, De Jeunes Gens Modernes, with its minimalist decor that allows the wares on display to take centrestage. The store carries about 40 labels, each one carefully chosen to reflect its founders’ penchant for impeccable design and craftsmanship. These include names such as Raf Simmons, Acne, Marni, Christopher Lemaire, Jacquemus, Etudes and Gyakusou. And because its founders want you to have a complete experience, its its bright cafe, which is adjacent to the store, serves up all kinds of deliciousness, so you can unwind over a cuppa or snack in between all your shopping.
